The first couple of weeks of fall sports has been hectic. Shooting these events as early as possible for SUNY Brockport is essential for their college athletics website. They need art for each article that goes up after every event. Shooting each sport early can usually fulfill their needs for the first 3 or 4 weeks of photos to match articles. They also need photos early for media guides which includes headshots for their staff and athletes. Having the opportunity to shoot both headshots and sports for Brockport athletics keeps me very busy in late August and early September. High school sports take a back seat early in the fall season due to the many events for my contract sports.
I am hoping to be a little more informative of working both with a college photography contract and shooting on spec with high school sports and the differences between the two throughout this year. I will post some setup shots and head shots in the next blog. Also, I will add some of the team photos. Here is some of the early action from the first couple of weeks.
